Southern Baptist Missions
Burlington Baptist Church belongs to the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program which enables all Southern Baptists to work together to support missions’ efforts world-wide.
Through the International Mission Board, Southern Baptists support 4,946 missionaries in 153 different countries..
Southern Baptist’s support of Missions allows the means to send out missionaries, help start new churches and help with relief support.
NBA (New Bible Achievers)
Our Purpose:
To lead children and teenagers to Christ, help them grow spiritually, prepare them for life, and equip them to serve Him by teaching Bible principles, training in ministry involvement, and modeling Christian living. We do this in a church environment that is safe, exciting, and encouraging.
Our Method:
Our teen program teaches teenagers to have a personal walk with God and to think for themselves. This is accomplished through weekly Lessons, Bible study and prayer. During this time, we encourage teen fellowship and camaraderie by playing games & enjoying refreshments. We worship the Lord through prayer time and singing, and we teach life changing lessons directly from the pages of God’s Word. No teenager will come through our ministry without the opportunity to learn Gods Word.
Our Team:
Our teachers and leaders have literally decades of experience working with teenagers and a burning passion to see them give their hearts to God. You will not find a group of adults who love teens more and are as dedicated to helping them live for Christ.
Caring and Sharing
This ministry designed to minister and be a blessing to the sick of our congregation and the community. Our memberships provide meals for the ones in need, shut in, released from the hospital, after the birth of a child or a death in the family. Burlington Baptist members care and share their time throughout the year in helping others.
Community Visitation
The purpose of our Visitation Program is to:
- Encourage others in their faith for Christ
- Meet practical needs
- Disciple
- Share the Gospel with the lost
There is an ongoing Visitation Program that takes place among our people on a regular basis.
Added to these things, of course, is the regular Pastoral Visitation of people involving the various needs that we as human beings have.
